1.Please provide a description of your organization.
Tails foundation Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our Mission is to help families care for their pets by providing programs and services, resources and education for optimal health and well-being for all pets.
As the population increases, there is a noticeable and growing need for pet care in our community. Due to unforeseen circumstances such as the loss of a job, medical issues, changes in housing or a lack of pet care education, people are often unable to care for their pets. That's how the quest began for the TAILS Foundation Inc and we need your help!
As a non-profit organization, TAILS Foundation Inc. relies on the sponsorship of local businesses like yours to provide support for programs and services such as Food4TAILS (a mobile pet food bank), RainbowTAILS (supporting end-of-life care for elderly pets)and TAILSAcademy (educating the community on basic pet care, training and nutrition).
2.How will the grant or sponsorship money be spent? Please be specific. We encourage you to provide us with a detailed list of the needs and amounts for consideration.
Dollars awarded would be equally divided between our much needed community programs and to help with marketing and advertising to reach and help as many families as possible.
•Food4TAILS: Pet food bank that assists low-income and elderly families with food for their pets thus ensuring they stay in the home. We have helped 182 families/pets year to date!
•RainbowTAILS: Helps support end-of-life services for limited-income owners caring for elderly or terminally ill pets. As of 2019, we have helped 22 pets cross over the Rainbow Bridge.
•TAILS4Life: Assists low-income families with veterinary medical expenses such as spay/neuter, vaccines and emergency care.
•TAILSAcademy: Helps educate our community in pet responsibility, basic pet care and training, alternative therapies, food preparation and more.
•VeteranTAILS: Supports our nations heroes by helping keep their pets and service animals healthy and happy!
•SeniorTAILS: Helps enable elderly pet owners keep their pets by providing support where needed (pet food, veterinary care, walking,etc.).
•Marketing and advertising to reach and help as many families as possible through events, advertising, flyers, social media, web and more.
3.How many individuals would benefit from this grant?
Hundreds of families and pets would benefit with this grant. Everything that comes to TAILS Foundation Inc. goes straight back into the community. Helping low-income people and elderly on fixed incomes keep their pets is a much-needed service when times are hard. With substantial grants we can reach even more families and pets in need.
4.How will the dollars from this grant be used to better the community?
More people would be able to keep their pets and would decrease homeless animals. Pets will be healthy and pet parents won’t need to seek high dollar medical attention for unnecessary illness and disease that can be prevented by good nutrition. Our goal is to keep pets and their family healthy and happy at home!
5. Within your project, how will (Sponsor) be recognized for this grant?
Sponsors would be recognized on all our marketing materials, listed as a sponsor on our website and individual group pages as well as on our sponsor banner which will be displayed during attended events. TAILS Foundation Inc. can also partner with sponsors at events to share services and programs with our community members. When we work together, we can accomplish more!
6. Is there anything else you would like to tell us about your organization and/or grant request?
TAILS Foundation Inc. is unlike anything out there; “A little gem in our community”, as one volunteer puts it. All the services and programs that TAILS Foundation Inc has to offer are much needed in our local area and TAILS Foundation Inc. answers requests daily. Any grants or donations would be a great gift to our local community. We are a young non-profit and are tenacious in helping those in our community.
