The mission of J. Kirk Foundation and Animal Assistance League is to focus our efforts and resources toward the care of companion animals in our community.
The purpose J. Kirk Foundation and Animal Assistance League is: To provide financial assistance to low income residents of Kootenai County Idaho for the low cost spaying and neutering of their companion animals. To provide financial assistance to low income residents of Kootenai County Idaho for pet food or medical care of their companion animal. To provide an annual one time partial tuition reimbursement to a veterinary student who has graduated from Washington State University Veterinary Program, who has successfully obtained their Idaho State Veterinary License and has spent one year practicing as a veterinarian in a spay neuter clinic or Animal Welfare Organization and has performed one thousand spay and neuter surgeries in the first three years of their practice. |

Spay/Neuter, Vaccination & Microchip vouchers will be provided on a first come, first served basis as funding is limited. At this time, we are working with Companions Animal Center (previously Kootenai Humane Society) for all medical services.

TAILS Foundation Inc is looking for a self-motivated individual to help manage our TAILS4Life medical services program. Tasks would include record keeping, working with our veterinary support and organizing donation drives.
